Dear MACS Family and Community,

As we continue progressing through our 2023 Capital Project, I want to take a moment to share some updates and express our appreciation for your ongoing support.

Over the past week, you may have noticed that a few contractors have completed their work in certain buildings and have begun clearing out. Teams are currently addressing final “punch list” items—those smaller details that ensure everything meets our standards and is fully operational.

At the same time, other parts of the project remain active, with crews continuing work on key areas that are still under development. Below, you’ll find a summary of what was accomplished last week and a look ahead at the next steps in our journey to enhance our school facilities.

2023 Capital Improvement Project: Updates 9/20/25

Mexico High School

• Electrical wiring of the garage door sensor and running wiring and conduit for the exterior sign.

• Masonry grinding and repointing at High School

 

 

Mexico Middle School

• Final prepping of the stone for the lower driveway and parking lot

• Grading of the detention pond

• Starting to final grade at the disturbed areas

• Electrical wires for the front lift gate were ran from the front gate to the office.
• Basketball arms were installed.

• Running of the wiring and conduit for the lockdown/ lockout  system continued.

 

 

Mexico Elementary

• Final installation of the lockdown/ lockout system

 

Palermo Elementary  School

• Final installation of the lockdown/ lockout system

• Finished laying brick over the lintel

New Haven Elementary School

• Brick repointing and repair continued in the in courtyard

• Brick cleaning was performed
