9/30/25 Today is National Hot Mulled Cider Day
Attention students, if you have the following teachers for 3rd block today, your lunch has been changed to 2nd lunch. Please go to class at the beginning of 3rd block, instead of lunch, beginning today…

For this school year, weekly there will be Math tutoring every Tues-Thurs from 3-5. Tues. & Thurs.’s in room 215 with Mr. Haskins and Wed.’s in room 223 with Mr. Powers.
All Spanish club members: There will be a meeting this Thursday 10/2 after school in Sra Pallotta's room 130. All members should plan on attending.
Attention students- The Volleyball Team will be hosting a Pink Out game on October 2nd. We will be taking on Homer and would like to see you all dressed in PINK showing support for a great cause. JV game starts at 4:30 pm Varsity to follow. We hope to see you all there!
AV Club has their first meeting in the Hungerford Library, this Friday October 3rd from 2:15-2:45. Stop by to meet the advisor and learn more about the club. If you cannot attend, write your name down on the orange signup sheet outside of the main office.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: The ASVAB Test will be given on October 8th at 9AM. If you are interested in joining the military or you have an interest in learning more about careers that fit your skill set, please come to student services to sign up. - All student cell phones and devices should remain secured in Yondr pouches and stored away in backpacks during the school day (7:35am-2:10pm).
- If a phone/device is seen out in class or the hallway, it will be collected and brought to the AP office.
- A parent/guardian must pick up the device.

9/29/25 Today is National Confucius Day
Edgenuity students need to report to the Pierce Library today.
Congratulations to the Mexico Tigers Boys Cross Country Team on their second place finish out of 20 schools at the EJ Hermann Invitational in Utica over the weekend. The Tigers scored well even without some of their key runners. Collin Fitzgerald led the Tigers with an overall second-place finish. Not far behind was Kaedrian Johnson with a 4th place finish. Aiden Bartlett finished out the top 10 with a 9th place finish. Simeon O’Neil scored fourth for the Tigers, followed by Jack Deckman in fifth, Aiden Silverio scoring 6th, and Sam Gillespy with the 7 spot. The boys compete in Marcellus on Wednesday, and the Tully Invitational on Saturday. Go Tigers!
Congratulations to the Mexico Varsity Football team on their victory over Sherburne-Earlville 63-12. Brayden Mack set a school record with 7 overall touchdowns. Mexico is in 1st place in their league. Thank you everyone who showed up to support us Friday night!

9/25/25 Today is National Comic Book Day
Congratulations to the Mexico Tigers Boys and Girls Cross Country Team for beating Cortland last night at home. The Tiger boys swept the top five spots. Collin Fitzgerald led the team to victory by scoring first place. Following in 2nd through 5ht place was Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlett, Braydon Beasley, and Simeon O’Neil. Finishing 6th and 7th were Kole Pultorak and Jack Deckman. The Ladies were led by Ellie Bryant finishing first followed by Aubrey Herrington, Madison Greenway, Lilah Donath and Danaia Aubertine. Special congrats to seniors Aiden Bartlett and Atreyu DeFalco on their final home meet. The Tigers travel to Utica Saturday for the EJ Hermann Invitational. Go Tigers!!

Girl’s modified tennis won their away match against Cortland last night 4-3. Addyson Cooper and Lana Redhead won their doubles 8-1.

9/22/25 Today is National Singles Day
Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Cross Country Team for taking first place in the small school division at the Baldwinsville Invitational this past Saturday. First place for the Tigers was Kaedrian Johnson at 16:39, second place was Collin Fitzgerld with a 16:40, third place was Aiden Bartlett with a 17:40, fourth place was Simeon O’Neil with an 18:32, and 5th place was Braydon Beasley with an 18:34. Special congratulations to our 6th and 7th finishers Jack Deckman with a 19:41 and Aiden Silverio with a 19:42. The Team has their only home meet this Wednesday against Cortland at the Middle School. Come out and support the team!

Today is National Rice Krispies Treats Day
Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Cross Country Team on their victory over Chittenango last night. The Tigers took first, second, and third in their race to beat their competition by 21 points scoring 18 to 39. Our first second and third runners were Kaedrian Johnson, Aiden Bartlet, and Collin Fitzgerald all running a 17:38. Fourth place was Brayden Beasley with a time of 18:25, and 5th place was Simeon O’Neil with a time of 18:54. Special congratulations to Aiden Silverio and Kole Platek for picking up 6th and 7th place. The Tigers travel to Baldwinsville for an Invitational on Saturday.

9/16/25 Today is National Dance Day
Last night the boys soccer team defeated Carthage. The Tigers battled from a goal down with Ian Bigelow scoring to tie it for Tigers. In the second half, Toby Caroccio assisted Kyrom Johnson and the Tigers went on to win 2-1. Great job boys!

Today is National Greenpeace Day
Congratulations to the Mexico Boys Varsity Cross Country Team on taking 3rd place out of 19 teams at the ESM Invitational this past Saturday. Their two losses for to class A teams. The top five finishers for the boys were Collin Fitzgerald with 16:50, Kaedrian Johnson with 17:17, Aiden Bartlett with 18:36, Simeon O’Neil with 19:14, and Kole Platek with 19:42. Our 6th and 7th were Jack Deckman with 20:44 and Sam Gillespy with 20:58. Some of the boys took off over a minute from their times last season. The team travels to Skaneateles this Wednesday to battle Chittenango. Go Tigers!!

Last night the boys soccer team defeated Homer on the road 2 to 0. Dylan Perlet had a clean sheet with 3 vital saves. Scoring unassisted for the Tigers was Tyler Huynh to take the lead. Later, Anthony Cutuli scored to add to the lead and was assisted by Kyrom Johnson. Greta job boys!

Class meetings will take place today for 11th Grade 1st block and 10th Grade 2nd block.
Congrats to the boys golf team on their victory vs Phoenix last night with a score of 224. Tanner Bellomo led the way with a season low and sectional qualifying score of 39. Lucas Parkhurst also shot a personal best of 43.

Today is National Star Trek Day
Huge shoutout to the Mexico Football team Friday night for delivering a knockout punch to rival Oswego buccaneers. Mexico was in control the entire contest and pitched a shutout until only 19 seconds remained. Game MVP was Brayden Mack who ran for over 150 yards, passed for another 100 and finished the night with multiple tackles and two interceptions. Tigers are 1-0 on the year and travel to the defending champs Phoenix Friday night! Go Tigers!
Congratulations to the Mexico Varsity Boys Cross Country Team on their performance at the Mustang Invitational in West Winfield this Saturday. The boys took 7th overall out of 24 teams placing at the top of their class only losing to class A teams. Our top five finishers are as follows: first place for the Tigers was Collin Fitzgerald finishing 16th with a 16:46, second was Kaedrian Johnson finishing 33rd with a 17:14, third was Braydon Beasley placing 43rd with a 17:26, fourth was Aiden Bartlett finishing 73rd with a 18:05, and fifth was Simeon O’Neil finishing 119th with a 19:00. Shout-out to Kole Platek and Aiden Silverio for achieving 6th and 7th place to help the scoring. Great start to the season, boys!! Go Tigers!
