Toss the caps: Class of 2026 graduates from MHS

The MACS Class of 2026 officially crossed the stage, turned their tassels and tossed the caps – officially becoming Mexico High School alumni on a beautiful slightly overcast evening Friday, June 26.
Special graduation speeches were given by MACS Superintendent Dr. Donna Runner, longtime MHS art teacher David Maidens who is retiring at the end of the school year, and the class salutatorian Toro Nguyen-Truong and valedictorian Jessica Hill. Maidens also presented the class, while MHS Principal Christopher Soluri served as the master of ceremonies, and graduates crossed the stage around 8 p.m. local time as MHS English instructor and NHS advisor Joseph Deckman.
“The world needs graduates like you,” said Dr. Runner, speaking to the Class of 2026’s heart, determination, grit and hardworking nature as a force that will make a positive impact on the community and nation alike.
