Lemke, Marsden celebrated as 2025 Mexico HS valedictorian, salutatorian

A pair of accomplished Mexico High School seniors who have made their mark through academics, leadership and service have earned top honors as valedictorian and salutatorian for the Mexico Academy & Central School District Class of 2025.
Luke Lemke, son of Timothy Lemke and Grace Puchalski, is this year’s valedictorian. Sarah Marsden, daughter of David and Amy Marsden, is the Class of 2025 salutatorian.
A former Donlin Drive Elementary student in Liverpool, Luke has been deeply involved in the MHS community through clubs such as Business Club, Student Senate, OCAY League, National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Kingdom Club. He will attend SUNY Oswego to pursue the five-year MBA Accounting program, with plans to become a Certified Public Accountant and entrepreneur.
His advice to classmates is a blend of gratitude and encouragement: “Don’t forget how much your parents matter to you. Follow your dreams, not your paycheck, because you will be happier that way. Take a shot at going to college and see if you like it. I highly recommend hunting, fishing and ATV sports for recreational activities.”
Sarah, a proud Mexico Elementary graduate, has contributed to several clubs including Kingdom Club, German Club and OCAY League. She plans to study computer science in college, with her future career path still unfolding.
MACS Superintendent Dr. Donna Runner praised both students for their dedication and lasting impact.
“Luke and Sarah have both worked incredibly hard to attain these honors, and they should be proud of all they have achieved. We recognize them for their standard of hard work and earnest effort and can’t wait to see everything that comes next for them. While you both prosper and shine outside the halls of MHS, remember that your MACS communities are always there rooting for you and that you will always be Tigers.”
The Mexico High School Class of 2025 will celebrate graduation at 7 p.m. Friday, June 27 in the Athletic Stadium.
