MS students visit Biospherix on science field trip

AVID 8 and Living Environment 8 students from Mexico Middle School had the wonderful opportunity to visit a local science company in Parish, NY.
Biospherix is a pioneer in advanced cell and tissue culture technology, specializing in creating incubators for cell growth using specialized oxygen control. Contributing to stem cell and gene editing, gene therapy, and medical research, they sell their products world-wide, including to centers like Cleveland Clinic, Harvard University, Cornell University and Bristol Myers Squibb.
MACS middle school students were inspired by their 3 hour field trip with the company’s CEO, Ahmed Mustafa, and Susan Linerode who happens to be a MACS graduate and former MMS teacher and is now their Channel Partner Manager for Global Markets.
Lastly, they got to view and review one of the company's newer products, a glove box, called the "Xvivo Ed Chamber," which is specifically designed for schools to use for hands-on experiences that not only align with the NGSS standards, but allow students to gain a better understanding of how scientists are solving problems and are creating solutions that heal and can cure diseases never thought imaginable.
